IDQuestionAnswer
388 *Can a senior manager ever be registered as a beneficial owner (because no individual passed the threshold to be considered a beneficial owner)? Not applicable
 Data Date: 2019

Notes

The Ministry of Finance reported that "According to the "Securities Exchange Act", the managers and shareholders who hold more than 10% of the total share capital of a listed company need to be disclosed, so when a senior manager is registered as a beneficial owner, it's possible to distinguish him/her from a real beneficial owner" (TJN Survey 2019). However, this information refers only to public companies, and there is no requirement to disclose beneficial ownership information for other types of comapnies (see note on ID[471]).
