Notes

According to Taiwan Ministry of Finance: "1. Since there have been foreign political issues preventing Taiwan from joining the Multilateral Convention on Mutual Assistance in Tax Matters (MAC), Taiwan does not sign the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (MCAA). 2. Taiwan has sent out letters to its treaty partners who have committed to implement the standard on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (AEOI) to express its interest in AEOI under their Bilateral Tax Agreements. 3. Taiwan filled out the OECD's Questionnaire on Confidentiality and Data Safeguards, and is in compliance with domestic laws and confidentiality provisions. Taiwan has never refused to engage in AEOI." (Communication with Taiwan Ministry of Finance, 27.12.2019).
