 Data Date: 2017

It is unclear whether ownership information can be obtained online. The english version of the website does not allow the user to obtain information on real properties. In the russian version of the wesbite, however, a considerable amount of information on real properties is given free of cost, but legal ownership information is not provided this way. This extract is translated as "reference information on real estate objects". There seems to be another procedure, whereby one can request an "extract about the main characteristics and registered rights to a real estate object". It is considerably difficult to go through the four steps of the request application due to translation errors, but also because the address information that is given in the free extract is very hard to transcribe into the different data entries of the request form. In order to receive this extended extract, the user has to pay 250 RUB (4.3 USD). However, ownership information may not be included in this extract, since another section of the website provides that "[i]nformation on land management is of an open nature, with the exception of information constituting state secrets and information pertaining to the identity of owners of land plots, land users, landowners or tenants of land plots." Given this information, it is appropriate to conclude that with respect to Russian real estate, legal ownership data is not available online. It is worth noting, however, that the land administration website provides a wide variety of Open Data geospacial products.
